Give a child a glue-gun and popcicle sticks!

I'm so lucky, my children LOVE a craft store. No begging and pleading not to go, they actually ask to go! Makes this mama proud. So, the other day we made a trip to Joann's. My DD purchased T'shirts and iron on bling designs. My son chose a hot glue gun, a package of 100 glue sticks, and a box of 1,000 popcicle sticks. It always amazes me what he can create. After an hour or so in his room, this is what he bring out to share. (I didn't get a picture yet, but he also created a trailer for transporting his planes. It is complete with wheels!)

HaPpY EaStEr!!!!

Hope everyone had a great day. We have been completely lazy today. Spent some time w/ the many critters and just plain lounged around the house.
I love Easter. It is my favorite holiday of all!! I love the colors, chicks, bunnies, and the candy....My two favoirte candies are available during this time. The top on my list are the robin eggs...YUMMY!!!
I was going to do the baskets last night, but fell asleep. I jumped up early this morning while the house was still calm and quite and fixed them up. I also made cute little cards to go with each of them. The kids were super excited when they woke. I had told them they were getting to old for Easter. (that's never gonna happen!!)   Just Noticed the card was up-side down in the picture..I don't think he noticed LOL
Enjoy the rest of your day! I hear a nap calling my name...

Project this week..

My mom is helping with a cousin's kids while she is in Iraq. Due to it being a short stay, they are homeschooling . Of course working at home also brings with it many distractions. To help cut down on these distractions, I made this sign for her door. The kids loved it, and felt special that it was made just for them...
I used my your story laminator on the top part of the sign, but the bottom would not fit due to the thick embellishments.  Either way, it still turned out really cute.....I used make-the-cut software and my cricut to cut the letters....Cardstock was mounted on chipboard to make it a sturdy sign. (another quick..easy project)

SPRING BREAK!!

Well, for me anyway. The kids have spring break next week. I really wish it would have fallen on the same week.. Oh well, such is life. Not gonna be much of a break though. I have Ethics, book report, and lit. to do all this week.. Yeah, I really should get off the computer.....(as my daughter would say, yeah whatever). I have a project in mind for tomorrow. I am gonna try and sneak that in between school work.. Stay tuned for that. Hope all who are on spring break has an awesome time..
Don't forget to hug your kids today and tell them you love them. You would be surprised what this will do for their day!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hope everyone is having an awesome Valentine's Day...Here we are having a quiet day. I have one sick and the other getting over being sick. How fun!
Today I wanted to share these cute little frames that I made for some friends of mine. They were so easy to make. I used the $1.00 unfinished frames from Michaels, painted them, covered the front with pattern paper, and decorated with cuts made from the cricut using cricut cartridges and make the cut software.

My hats off to ya!!!

For all of you who design blogs, I am amazed. I have worked on this blog for 3 days trying to revamp it.. I finally have it just like I want it. Ok and a big headache to add to that. I was adding a post divider and each time I would view blog, the divider would be way too long and cut off half my image. I revamped and revamped and still it would not work......HELLO!! hit save..that did the trick. If I ever decide to update my other blog, it will be so much easier. I downloaded my background image from the cutest blog on the block. All other elements of the blog were created by me in photoshop.
I did have lots of help along the way...Below is a list of sites I visited for tutorials. They were so straight forward and easy to follow. Just remember to save as you go! A lesson learned the hard way.
I did enjoy the process and I learned alot. I'm glad I tackled this project. Now to go tackle all my school work.
